Celebrate Love Your Home-Start Day with Us!
Join us in celebrating our Love Your Home-Start (LYHS) Day this Valentine’s Day, 14th February! It’s a day we set aside each year to spread the love and show appreciation for the amazing work Home-Start does in our community. It’s also a chance to celebrate our volunteers and supporters, while helping us continue to provide vital assistance to local families facing challenges.
As a self-funded charity, reaching our fundraising target is essential for us to keep delivering free, confidential, and compassionate support to families in Royston, Buntingford, surrounding villages, and the SG8 villages of South Cambridgeshire. Home-Start has been a vital resource for families since 1983, and your involvement can truly make a difference.
How You Can Get Involved
There are so many fun and creative ways for you, your colleagues, friends, and family to get involved. Here are a few ideas:
- Wear our Colours: Show your support by donning our signature purple and orange, or show your ‘love’ with heart-themed or red attire.
- Host a Themed Event: Organise a tea party, a silly hat or t-shirt day, or even a dress-down day at your work or school.
- Personal Challenges: Take on a personal challenge, like running, walking, cycling, or swimming. Use apps like Strava to create ‘run art’ and share your heart-shaped routes.

- Local Schools: Schools across the area will be hosting non-uniform days, collecting donations and offering our FREE activity pack to every child.
- Tesco Extra Royston: Join us for an in-store collection from 9 am to 6 pm. Interested in volunteering? Contact Tracy on 01763 262262 or tracy@hsrsc.org.uk.
- Local Pubs and Businesses: We’re thrilled to have local pubs and businesses displaying our QR Code poster. this will allow everyone to easily make a donation and show their support for Home-Start. Keep an eye out for the posters at participating venues!

Send a Heartfelt Message

Host a Home-Start Tea Party
Invite friends and family to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea, with donations in exchange for tea and homemade treats. We can provide a Home-Start collection tin and a QR Code poster for easy non-cash donations at your event.
Take on a Personal Challenge
