October’s Literary Lunch with Freya North
We’re delighted to welcome Freya North as our guest author for October’s Literary Lunch! Join us on Tuesday, 14th October 2025, from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm at The Old Bull Inn, Royston, SG8 9AW, for an afternoon of conversation and good company.
Freya will be talking to the wonderful Jude Simpson about her latest book “The Unfinished Business of Eadie Browne” as well as a couple of her other published books, “The Turning Point” and “Little Wing”.
Freya North
Freya North is the author of 16 bestselling novels which have been translated into several languages. Her most recent novels include the Richard and Judy pick Little Wing and The Unfinished Business of Eadie Browne which was published to great critical acclaim in 2024.
Freya is patron of Society of Women Writers & Journalists and also Refuge in Literacy. She is editor of The Book Lover’s Journal and has judged
the Costa Book Awards. She has degrees in Art History from the University of Manchester and the Courtauld Institute and leads creative writing workshops. She lives on a small farm in Hertfordshire.

The Unfinished Business of Eadie Browne follows the journey of Eadie, an eccentric child growing up in a small town, navigating the challenges of bullying and the complexities of her family life. As she moves to Manchester in the late 1980s, she is swept into the city’s vibrant rave culture, seeking freedom and self-discovery.
