Swim, Fundraise, Make a Difference!
Ready to make a splash for Home-Start? We’re excited to present the Home-Start Aquathon 2025 – a fun and energetic event perfect for swimmers, community groups, clubs, and schools! Whether you’re swimming solo or with a team, this is a great chance to raise vital funds and support local children and families.
What is the Home-Start Aquathon?
Our Aquathon is a community favourite, and we’re always blown away by the support we receive. Teams of up to six swimmers (or individuals) come together to raise funds, with half of all sponsorship raised going directly to your chosen cause.
Last year, 15 amazing teams swam their hearts out for a good cause – each team aiming to swim as many lengths as possible in 55 minutes. The funds raised were shared between the swimmers’ selected cause and Home-Start, supporting families in need across our area.
Why Get Involved?
Whether you’re fundraising for your school, community group, or personal cause, the Home-Start Aquathon is the perfect way to make a difference while having fun! We provide everything you need to get started, including online fundraising pages (example below) and paper forms, so all you have to do is sign up, swim, and raise as much as you can.
Join us on Sunday, 27th April, at Royston Leisure Centre, where you’ll swim as many lengths as you can within a 55-minute time slot. Don’t worry – the swim will be a relay, so the pool won’t be overcrowded. Time slots are available at 6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm, and 9 pm (the 6 pm slot is reserved for teams with children).
And, of course, bring your family and friends along to cheer you on – it’s all about supporting each other and having a great time for a fantastic cause. Whatever funds you raise, 50% goes back to your chosen group, school, or club, helping fund projects like new equipment, facility upgrades, or other much-needed resources.
It’s not just an event – it’s a community celebration!
How to Enter
Ready to make waves with us? Simply DOWNLOAD and COMPLETE a Registration Form and email it back to us at events@hsrsc.org.uk, or drop it off at our office in Meldreth. We can’t wait to see you there!!
