Week 9 – Creative Conversations: An interview with Sophie Hannah
Welcome to this week’s Giving Tuesday!
As you might be aware, Home-Start has previously run “literary lunches” on a regular basis: hosted by The Bull in Royston, where we have invited a series of authors to come along and discuss their work over a tasty lunch.
Although we can’t hold face-to-face lunches at the moment, we have found an alternative format, which we hope you will enjoy.
In this edition of Creative Conversations, our poet-in-residence, Jude Simpson, talks to author Sophie Hannah about her latest novel Haven’t They Grown, which came out in January. This is an excellent mystery-thriller, with plenty of plot twists to keep you turning those pages.
They also discuss Sophie’s coaching programme “Dream Author”, an immersive coaching programme for writers at any and every level of experience.
The best thing about our new Creative Conversations series is that you can sit back and enjoy it from anywhere in the world – please feel free to share the link with friends and family.
And, while you’re sitting in a comfy chair, sipping a tea or coffee and listening to Sophie, why not support Home-Start by texting the cost of your drink to our Home-Start Cuppa campaign?
We also have a Goodreads group set up, ‘Home-Start’s Creative Conversations Group’, which you can join at any time and see what books everyone in the group is reading. Please feel free to share this with your family and friends also. Over time, we will have book recommendations and reviews and hopefully some great ‘reading’ conversations!
