Week 2 – Yoga for little ones
Meditation and yoga have long been recognised as ways to bring mental calm and inner peace, for both adults and children. In this current climate, we could certainly all use a bit of that right now!
For Giving Tuesday this week, we look at doing some yoga activities at home with the children – a really good way to bond and bring some wellbeing into the home.
Cosmic Kids Yoga
Our first choice is Cosmic Kids Yoga – a wonderful resource of imaginative yoga routines aimed at younger children.
Jamie, the CosmicKids instructor, takes you on a series of amazing adventures using yoga poses to bring the story to life.
You can also download the CosmicKids app, which gives you access to all the CosmicKids adventures, and right now you get 2 weeks for free!

Happy Little Yogi
Another great resource is Happy Little Yogi, run by Jane Oppegard.
Jane offers a more traditional style of yoga for children, with fun, simple lessons available on YouTube.
Happy Little Yogi also runs classes for children and teenagers in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Once the lockdown is over, why not go along to one of their holiday camps: playful yoga in the great outdoors – now that is something to really look forward to!
