Easter cards… do you send them? They often involve images of spring, of new beginnings and the promise of warmer weather and (of course!) chocolate!
But what about the environmental impact of greetings cards?
Every card that we send generates around 14g of CO2. That doesn’t sound like much, does it? But when you consider how many greetings cards get sent in the UK (around 864 MILLION cards per year), that figure looks a bit more alarming.
A card’s carbon footprint is created through the manufacturing processes (paper production and printing) and the postal system. You can read more about the impact of the greetings card industry here.
Don’t worry: we’ve got you covered!
Our beautiful, unique designs are available as e-Cards, so you can have all the pleasure of sending an Easter card without the impact on our planet.
So go on… show someone you love them AND the planet this Easter by sending an eCard and donating the cost of paper and stamps to Home-Start.
