Week 35 – The Best of our Giving Tuesdays

Merry Christmas! Season’s Greetings! Joy to the World!

Is it too early for that yet? Oh, not it’s not! It’s December 1st and that means it’s officially #Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a day of global generosity. It’s a day to give back by supporting a cause close to your heart or doing something good for your local community or someone in need.

You can volunteer your time; donate money; share your skills; campaign for something; donate goods, food, or clothes; organise a community event such as a street or park clean-up or a coffee morning. The list really is endless. To find out more, head on over to the Giving Tuesday website here.

Time to celebrate

Today also marks the end of our lockdown campaign, Giving Tuesdays. Every week since 7th April, we’ve been posting activities, ideas, hobbies, skills, and other things to keep you occupied during 2020. And it’s now finished (equal parts relief and regret, if we’re honest!).

Originally, we had planned a big party for the 1st December, but (2020 being what it is) that’s not possible.

So, instead, we’ve turned Royston and Buntingford into huge advent calendars for you all to enjoy, starting today (1st December).

Pop along to our events page to find out more and how to take part.

In the meantime, we’ve put together a list of our favourite Giving Tuesdays activities (in case you missed them the first time around!):

If you would like to see the full list, they’re all still available on our dedicated Giving Tuesday page here.

We’d like to say a huge Thank You to everyone who contributed to our Giving Tuesdays campaign, either by providing information and interviews about the different activities or by taking part.

And although that’s the end of our Giving Tuesday, we have plenty of events coming up in the future. Follow us on our Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn to keep up-to-date. Don’t forget to keep liking and sharing our posts too!!
