Home-Start Challenge Champion

Become a Home-Start Challenge Champion

Support Local Children. Transform Lives.

At Home-Start Royston, Buntingford & South Cambridgeshire (HSRBSC), we’re here to give every child the best start in life. Too many children face challenges beyond their control, from family struggles to financial hardship. With your support, we can make sure no child is left behind.

Our Fundraising Goal
Our fundraising target for 2024/25 is £200,000, but as demand for our services grows, we know we’ll need to raise even more for 2025/26.

We’re inviting everyone – whether you want to raise a little or a lot – to join us as a Home-Start Challenge Champion. Every penny you raise will go directly towards supporting local families, ensuring they have the help they need when facing life’s toughest challenges.

Some of us are lucky to have support when we need it. Others, through no fault of their own, don’t

  • Run, walk, cycle, or swim
  • Fitness goals: 30 push-ups a day or skipping challenges

Elliot cycled 205 miles, raising £900. Keeley’s daily squats brought in £300. What will your challenge be?

For Community Groups

Team up to support local children!

  • Choirs, gyms, running clubs – anyone can take part
  • Examples: climb a mountain, host a bake sale, or create your own challenge

The team’s dedication resonates with our women’s choir, many of us parents or grandparents.

Inspiring Fundraisers

We’ve been inspired by the incredible efforts of supporters like Elliot, who cycled 205 miles for HSRBSC, raising £900, and Keeley, who completed 50 squats a day, raising £300.

We also saw the incredible achievement of Phil and his friends, who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2023 for HSRBSC and other local charities. Their story is a powerful example of how determination and community spirit can make a real difference. Read all about their Kilimanjaro adventure here.

Why Your Support Matters

Childhood should be a time of joy and growth, but many children face struggles that hold them back. In 2023/24, we supported:

  • 226 children
  • 102 families
  • 63% with complex needs

From mental health challenges to financial strain, families often feel overwhelmed and isolated. Your support helps us:
