Tesco Community Grant

We’re in the customer vote for a Tesco Community Grant. It’s a scheme which gives  community projects like us grants of up to £1,500. Tesco customers will now vote in Tesco Extra and Tesco Express in Royston during April, May and June to decide how much funding we get, so please support us next time you shop at Tesco!

About Us

We support local families with children aged 9 and under through tough times – providing highly-trained volunteers and expert free, confidential support for parents when they need us the most by helping them to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.

We’re here for you…

As the Covid crisis continues, many families are finding things tough; financially, emotionally, socially, with many reaching crisis point having never felt so isolated.

Our Volunteers can offer you weekly contact that is confidential, free and just for you.

You don’t need to be referred by another professional, you can contact us today to talk about support, with no obligation to take it on. Sometimes, a friendly chat can make all the difference.

Help us reach our fundraising target…

Our fundraising target for 2021/22 is £185,000 and we need your help to reach it.

There are many ways in which you can help, from simply making a donation to organising a fundraising event, or perhaps you would like to take on a personal challenge.

Visit our “What can I do to help?” page to find out more!

We’re there for parents when they need us the most, because childhood can’t wait.

Our charity has successfully supported local families since 1983 – working alongside parents through all kinds of tough times, such as:

Mental ill-health and post-natal depression, isolation, physical disability and illness, the end of a relationship, multiple-aged children and bereavement.

We offer:

  • Weekly home-visiting, which is free, non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential
  • Two family support groups in Royston and Buntingford
  • Expert guidance to other support services and resources
