Home-Start Royston, Buntingford & South Cambridgeshire has once again been chosen to be part of the Co-op Local Community Fund, where supporters can help raise much-needed funds until October 2023 when they shop at the Co-op. The initiative encourages shoppers to register their support for local good causes, and it’s completely free to join.
How does it work?
Every time Co-op members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, Home-Start will receive 1p from every pound spent, provided the member has chosen Home-Start to be their cause.
We are urging local members to choose us as their cause so that we can meet our funding target and ensure that we have the necessary funding to continue offering support to local families.

About Home-Start
Home-Start offers free, non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential support, to families with children aged 9 and under, through Home-Visiting and our Family Support Groups (in Royston, Buntingford and South Cambridgeshire). We support parents to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children. The benefits of our support include improved health and well-being and better family relationships.
Home-Visiting
A trained volunteer is carefully matched to a family and will visit them in their own home once a week for 2 hours. They will work alongside the family to give practical and emotional support by talking with parents, providing a listening ear, playing with children or accompanying the family on outings or appointments. Our volunteers tailor the support they offer to each family’s needs.
Family Support Groups
Our Family Support Groups are for families supported by our Home-start scheme with children under the age of 5. They aim to bring together socially isolated families, giving them the opportunity to participate in fun, structured activities in a safe and welcoming environment. It helps parents and children to form friendships, developing improved self-esteem, confidence and well-being along the way.
