Johnson Matthey employees have always been incredibly kind to Home-Start families at Christmas. In previous years, we would traditionally have a pile of presents under a huge Christmas tree for the children of the local families we support.
But the Covid-19 outbreak saw an end to that tradition in 2020 (see our blog post from last year: Johnson Matthey employees help make Christmas 2020 special for our families). However, once again the fantastic JM employees pulled out all the stops to ensure that every child supported by Home-Start received a wonderful gift this Christmas in 2021.
Each employee carefully selected a gift that was age-appropriate and in the run-up to Christmas, the office saw a steady stream of deliveries – it was lovely to see!
Out came the wrapping paper, scissors and labels and staff and volunteers had great fun wrapping these lovely gifts.
Deliveries to the families were arranged and the team took great delight in the joy on the children and parents faces when they opened the door.
There were smiles and happiness all around! Parents were so very grateful to the Johnson Matthey employees for once again donating these wonderful gifts.
It might not be Shakespeare but we really want to show the lovely team at Johnson Matthey what their generosity means to Home-Start families, so here’s a little poem one of the Home-Start team wrote just for them…
