Easter fun and chocolate!

It has been good to see the signs of Spring and blossom on the trees as we looked forward to Easter with lighter evenings and even some sunshine!

In the run-up to the Easter weekend, we were again so touched by the local community who donated Easter Eggs for us to give out to local families. Who doesn’t love some Easter chocolate as a welcome treat? The chocolate went down so well and as the eggs were delivered to doorsteps, this also gave us a welcome chance to see families face to face and say Happy Easter!

We also shared with families some ideas of a simple craft to help us all get creative, making some lively hopping Easter bunnies and colourful Easter cards…

I think of Easter as a time of new hope and new life – coming out of such a dark winter and seeing the happy faces of children receiving their eggs can’t help but bring a smile to us too!

Paper bunny craft challenge

Although Easter was a few weeks ago now, you can still have fun with your children making these cute and easy to make paper bunnies… and don’t forget to share your creations with us, either on Facebook or Instagram, or you can email them directly to the office. We’d love to see them!

So that we can continue to deliver this type of support to local families with children aged 9 and under, we need to reach our fundraising target… and that’s where you can help! Visit our ‘What can I do to help’ page to find out more.
