Thank you to Tesco Extra's Sponsorship of Royston Picture Palace
HOME-START ENJOYS TRIP TO ROYSTON PICTURE PALACE AFTER TESCO EXTRA SPONSORS COMMUNITY CINEMA
To celebrate its sponsorship of Royston Picture Palace, the Tesco Extra store on Old North Road provided a free matinée showing of Beauty and the Beast for members of Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire and the Royston Children’s Centre, as well as providing refreshments for all who attended.
Royston Picture Palace community cinema is delighted to welcome the new sponsor, Tesco Extra store, whose generous sponsorship will help towards the running costs of the cinema for the coming year.
The sponsorship has been agreed as part of the Royston Tesco Extra’s commitment to supporting local community groups and organisations.
Cliff Ingles, manager of the Tesco Extra store, said: “Whilst we are dedicated and focused on serving our customers and enhancing their shopping experience in our store, we are also keen to engage with and help to support our local community.
“The Picture Palace is a great community facility and it welcomes sponsorship from local businesses in order to continuously improve. We are delighted to be able to help out and raise money for other local good causes at the same time.”
Royston Picture Palace is a community cinema based at the Town Hall. It is led by cinema manager Simon Mortimer and a dedicated team of volunteers from the local community, and aims to provide good value and quality entertainment for local people.
Royston Picture Palace has just launched a new sponsorship programme and on-screen advertising for local businesses in the community.
A spokesperson for Royston First said, “The support from Tesco, our first sponsor, has made a significant contribution to our running costs and we are extremely grateful for its ongoing support.”
