Home-Start family outing
Home-Start families and volunteers had a wonderful time at an outing to Shepreth Wildlife Park recently. We were lucky enough to experience a special session in the education and discovery centre, where we were able to get close and personal with a variety of insects and animals - some of the adults were brave enough to hold a snake!
Luckily the rain held off for the day so the children had fun in the play area and a picnic lunch together was enjoyed by all. Everyone was interested in seeing all the different animals, including meercat babies, porcupines, wallabies and bats. A particular highlight was watching as the tigers were fed.
We would like to say a big thank you to The Friends of Royston Hospital who donated £400 towards the cost of this outing, enabling us to enjoy such a wonderful day together, having fun and making lots of memories.
