Celebrating volunteers week - 1st - 12th June
As Volunteers’ week commences and the fantastic contribution of millions of volunteers across the UK is celebrated, it feels apt to say a few words about the incredible volunteers we have at Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire.
We couldn’t provide the service that we do for our families without our volunteers – they are the core of our organisation. Their tireless commitment, ideas, time, support, enthusiasm and overall dedication to our organisation is admirable. They bake cakes, splash in puddles, listen, dry tears, play at the park, read stories, play games at home, sing, dance, signpost, paint, role model – the list is just exhaustive.
What amazes me is that our volunteers are willing to turn their hand to just about anything, and they do so with compassion, patience, kindness and respect.
I am proud to work with such an awesome bunch of people. Thank you to each and every one of you!
Sarah Mascall, Senior Co-ordinator
