Money Information

The money you raise will help make a huge difference to families in your local area.

If you raise money as part of a challenge event, there are specific arrangements on where and when to send in the money. Please call tel 01763 262262, email admin@hsrsc.org.uk

Otherwise, here's what to do:

Online Fundraising
You can set up an online fundraising page and the money will be sent to us automatically. HSRSC has already set up a page on BT My Donate but you may wish to use JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving. These are just like paper sponsorship forms except they're online. It’s simple just personalise your page with a photo and message and email the web address to all your contacts.  On some sites, you can even show one of our YouTube films in your page. Friends, family, work colleagues and anyone else, from anywhere in the world, can then make a donation using your page. You can also link your JustGiving page to your Facebook or Twitter pages to expand your coverage.

You can create your own page for any event at:

Paper Sponsorship Forms
When you have finished collecting the funds raised from your event, please send cheques or postal orders made payable to Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire along with your completed sponsorship form with your name and address so we can say thank you. Please don’t send cash in the post.  Send to: Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire, Unit 6, Valley Farm, Station Road, Meldreth, Nr Royston, Herts, SG8 6JP, tel 01763 262262, email admin@hsrsc.org.uk

Gift Aid
Whether you are taking part in a challenge or arranging your own event it's important to ask your sponsors to sign up to Gift Aid.

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to charity. It is a scheme introduced by the Inland Revenue which allows us to claim 25p for every £1 you raise,  at no extra cost to you or the person making the donation (as long as they pay at least that amount in tax and give the charity permission to claim).

All you have to do is ask your donor to:

  • Tick the box on-line via your fundraising pages.
  • Tick the gift aid box on your sponsorship form.
  • Complete a gift aid form if making a donation at an event
